Understand how RakuWP plans work, what each includes, and how billing periods affect your subscription.

How subscriptions work

RakuWP uses a subscription model powered by Stripe. When you upgrade from the free plan to a paid plan, you create a subscription that renews automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly).

Your subscription is linked to your license. All sites connected to that license gain access to the services included in your plan as long as the subscription is active.

Available plans

You can view all available plans and their features on the Billing page of your panel. Each plan includes:

  • A specific number of site activations
  • Access to different services (Block Editor, Remote, Passkey Login, etc.)
  • A monthly AI credit allocation (on plans that include AI features)

Monthly vs. yearly billing

All paid plans are available in two billing periods:

  • Monthly: Billed every month. More flexible, can cancel anytime.
  • Yearly: Billed once per year. Typically saves around 17% compared to paying monthly.

You can switch between monthly and yearly billing at any time from the Change Plan page. When switching from monthly to yearly, the change takes effect immediately with proration.

Upgrading your plan

To upgrade, go to Billing → Change Plan and select a higher-tier plan. Upgrades take effect immediately. Stripe calculates the prorated amount based on the remaining days in your current billing period, so you only pay the difference.

Downgrading your plan

Downgrades are scheduled to take effect at the end of your current billing period. You continue to have access to your current plan's features until then. A pending downgrade can be cancelled at any time before it takes effect.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription from Billing → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation is always at the end of the current period — you keep access to all features until your paid period expires. After that, your license automatically reverts to the free plan.

Changed your mind? You can resume a pending cancellation at any time before the period ends by clicking Resume Subscription on the billing page.
