How it works

Enable the Passkey Login service from your RakuWP dashboard. Your WordPress login page gets a "Sign in with a passkey" button automatically. Users can register a passkey from their profile page. The browser prompts them to use their fingerprint, face, or device PIN. On future logins, a single biometric gesture replaces the password field entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Which browsers support passkeys?

All major browsers support passkeys: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Passkeys also work with platform authenticators on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.

Is it really more secure than passwords?

Yes. Passkeys use public-key cryptography. Your private key never leaves your device, so it cannot be intercepted, guessed, or leaked in a data breach.

What happens if I lose my device?

You can still log in with your password as a fallback. We recommend registering passkeys on at least two devices. Admins can also remove a user's passkey from the dashboard.
