Add a single <script> tag to your site (the RakuWP plugin does this automatically). The script captures pageviews, scroll depth, time on page, and link clicks, then sends the data to a session-free collection endpoint. No cookies are set and no IP addresses are stored: only geographic labels (country, region, city) are kept after the lookup. Events are stored in ClickHouse and appear in your dashboard instantly. Use date ranges, filters, and the real-time chart to explore your traffic across pages, referrers, devices, locations, UTM parameters, and WordPress authors, categories, and tags.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to show a cookie consent banner?
No. RakuWP Analytics does not use cookies, localStorage, or any persistent client-side storage. Visitor identity is derived from a lightweight browser fingerprint (screen size, timezone, language, platform) that is hashed and cannot be reversed. Since no personal data is stored on the visitor's device, consent banners are generally not required under GDPR.
How accurate is the data without cookies?
Very accurate for traffic trends and content performance. The fingerprint-based approach may occasionally merge visitors who share the same device characteristics, but for pageview counts, top pages, referrer analysis, geo breakdown, and campaign tracking the numbers are reliable and actionable.
What happens to IP addresses?
IP addresses are used only during the request to resolve the visitor's country, region, and city via a geolocation lookup. Only those geographic labels are stored. The IP address itself is never written to the database, ensuring full privacy compliance.
