Updating the Plugin

How to update RakuWP to the latest version and what to expect during the process.

Checking for Updates

When a new version of RakuWP is available, you will see a notification in your WordPress admin area under Plugins. The panel dashboard also displays the latest available version alongside your currently installed version.

How to Update

Option 1: From the Panel

  1. Log in to your RakuWP panel
  2. Go to the Dashboard or Releases section
  3. Download the latest version ZIP file
  4. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  5. Upload the ZIP and confirm the replacement when prompted

Option 2: Automatic Updates

If your site has automatic plugin updates enabled in WordPress, RakuWP will update itself when a new version is released. The plugin checks the panel server periodically for new versions.

After Updating

After updating, the plugin will automatically re-validate your license and report the new version to the panel. No manual action is required. Your service configurations and settings are preserved across updates.

Tip: Always back up your site before updating any plugin. While RakuWP updates are designed to be safe and non-destructive, having a backup is good practice.

Changelog

Each release includes a detailed changelog describing new features, improvements, and bug fixes. You can view the full changelog in the Releases section of the panel or in the Changelog documentation category.
