Simple Analytics

Lightweight, cookie-free website analytics with real-time data, traffic source breakdown, and bot monitoring.

Overview

Simple Analytics is a privacy-first website analytics service included with all RakuWP plans. It tracks pageviews, visitor behavior, traffic sources, and more — all without using cookies or storing IP addresses.

Data is collected via a lightweight JavaScript snippet embedded on your WordPress site and stored on EU-based servers for GDPR compliance.

Key Features

  • Cookie-free tracking: No cookies are set on your visitors' devices. Visitor identification uses a browser fingerprint hash (screen size, timezone, language, platform) that cannot be reversed to identify individuals.
  • No IP storage: IP addresses are used only to resolve approximate geolocation (country, region, city) and are never stored in the analytics database.
  • Real-time dashboard: See today's visits by traffic source with a live-updating stacked area chart (Pro plans and above).
  • Traffic source classification: Visits are automatically categorized as Direct, Search, Social, Internal, Referral, or LLM.
  • Bot monitoring: Over 95 bot patterns are detected and tracked separately, including search engine crawlers, AI bots, SEO tools, and social media scrapers (Plus and Ultra plans).
  • WordPress metadata: Track performance by post author, category, and tag.
  • UTM campaign tracking: Full support for utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content parameters.
  • Filter system: Drill down into your data with combinable filters using IS/IS NOT conditions with AND/OR logic.
